Welcome to e-Network As our NH community of microentrepreneurs grows larger, stronger and more diverse, we have more news and information to share more often. That's a good thing. Great, actually, because that growth has challenged us to explore ways of communicating that are more timely and environmentally friendly. So this, our first-ever e-Network newsletter, signals a shift from paper to electronic communication. We'll continue to print The Network, with its calendars of orientations and networking events, but only twice a year instead of quarterly. The monthly e-Network will contain news and short items for and about YOU. We value your contributions and suggestions. Please tell us what you think of this first newsletter. What would you like to see more of? Or less of? Drop us a note. We look forward to hearing from you.
Candlelite Inn B&B honored
The profile on StartupNation's Web site cites Marilyn Gordon's conversion of "a turn of the century Victorian inn, offering 6 beautifully appointed guest rooms with numerous amenities, into a relaxed country B&B" that offers a scrumptious three-course breakfast, and has received honors from numerous travel publications. "You need to enjoy what you are doing and for us it's been the people we have met and the friends we have made," says Gordon, the owner and innkeeper. We profiled Marilyn and Les Gordon in the April-June 2007 issue of The Network. Business Builders program launching in Sullivan County -- apply now!

Thirty local artists, artisans and craftspeople attended the first North County Artist Exchange at the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa in Whitefield. As we all know, our arts and culture foster not only beauty and vitality but also bring big dollars into our local economies. Keynote speaker Frumie Selchen, Executive Director of the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire, articulated the great contributions artists make to the state's diversity and culture and the importance of building strong business skills in artist entrepreneurs. Glen Group owner Nancy Clark delivered marketing lessons with unbridled energy and expertise, and sprinkled with "a-ha" moments. We look forward to next year's North Country event, and to building on these successes. Watch future newsletters for information on our southern NH event this fall.Entrepreneur opportunities MicroCredit-NH members can attend the Stonyfield Farm Entrepreneurship Institute, a two-day "boot camp" for community-minded entrepreneurs, for half-price.
